Overview of LNSC

Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps is a newly formed security agency formed by the Lagos State Government to help cub crimes in Lagos State. They operate in the 20 Local Government Areas (LGA) and 56 Local Council Development Areas (LCDA) across Lagos State. Presently, it has created about 7000 jobs since its establishment in Lagos State.

LNSC job can be relatively dangerous as its officers are trained to get detailed information on different forms of crimes, patrol their areas day and night and also help in arresting suspected criminals and other law offenders. How much can one earn if successfully employed as LNSC officer? Well, there is no fixed salary scale for most of LNSC officers. Many have argued on social media that salaries of officers SSCE certificate is ₦19,500 per month and officers with BSc. and HND certificate is ₦53,000 per month, and holders of OND certificate are paid ₦25,000 per month.

Remember that earlier this year, some sites made posts on none payment of LNSC officers’ salaries for several months. This rumor was denied by LNSC Chairman Israel Ajao, who said that officers’ salaries are paid as at when due without delay.
