Nigerian police force recruitment 2018/2019 – shortlisted candidates and screening date

Nigerian Police Force Recruitment 2018/2019 came up with a list of 133,324 applicants to be recruited, according to the Police Service Commissioner for the recruitment of 6,000 constables into the Nigerian Police Force.

The spokesman of the Commissioner, Ikechukwu Ani, said in an interview on Thursday that the exercise will start on 7th May, 2018 in all the 36 states Police Command Headquarters and Federal Territory.

“The exercise will start with screening of the applicants’ physical attributes and their credentials. Already, invitations have been sent to the applicants who are expected to report at the screening venues on days indicated in their invitations”, he said.

According to Ani, he said that Kaduna State has the highest number of applicants with 6,962, while Lagos has the least with 1,013.

He also said that Katsina has the second highest number with 6,676, followed by Benue having 6,474 and Niger with 6,409. Bayelsa has 1,097, followed by Anambra with 1,117 and Ebonyi with 1,303.

Mr. Ani said that the commission has deployed its staff to the 36 States of the Federation and FCT to conduct the exercise.

According to Mr. Musa Istifanus, the Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Commission warned that the Commission would sanction any staff found to be compromising the exercise.

Istifanus still further warned the staff against having more influence, as their activities would be closely supervised and monitored, anybody that has nothing to do with the exercise should stay away from the venue of the screening.

According to reports from the NEWS AGENCY OF NIGERIA, said that President Muhammadu Buhari recently gave his signatories to the recruitment of the 6,000 policemen to help cub the security challenges of the country.
